SciFi as Classic Lit

I had the opportunity to write a guest article for the About.com Classic Literature site. And because my passion is Science Fiction and Fantasy, of course I wrote about that.

What do you think? Can SciFi Be Considered Classic Literature? Or should it remain in the sub-genre basement as “Classic SciFi” and not compare it to other genres.
